Like every year, people try recalling how the whole year went by. Nowadays with Youtube and camera phones, people have hundreds of things that they can recall and summarize into one video, popularly known as Rewind. Even facebook and other social media platforms have jumped onto this concept, calling them stories (by making slideshows of photos for the year). Above is the official video of Youtube Rewind 2017. Animated Short: Le Gouffre (The Gulf)

Le Gouffre is the first animated short film produced and directed by Lightning Boy Studio, a young creative team based in Montreal. The film tells the story of two spirited travelers who come across an incredibly wide chasm on their journey and decide to build a bridge to cross it. Released in February 2015, the project had first gained a lot of attention following the huge success of its Kickstarter campaign, which allowed the creators to finance the movie’s post-production. Many were impressed by the passion and determination of the small team of three animators, who spent more than two full years creating the 10-minute film.

As of now, Le Gouffre has been selected in more than 60 festivals around the world and won nine awards, four of them for “Best Animated Short”. For the complete list of selections and awards, please head over to the Awards page.

The Team

Lightning Boy Studio was born in 2012 out of a shared passion: to tell great stories. The three founders met in animation school in 2009 and have dreamed ever since to be able to work together on projects of their own. Le Gouffre was the result of their first collaboration.

GoPro brings us another set of amazing features and products with their latest release (28/09/2017). The more 2x performance Hero6 along with features like 4K60 and advanced stabilization, better image quality, more fun with slow motion and introducing Touch Zoom. The major upgrade comes in the QuikStories which helps in making Story using the GoPro app which automatically edits the footage that has been sent to the phone from the Hero6 (upgrades to the sharing have also taken place).  The QuikStory creates an epic video with music and effects using GPS location, time stamps, faces, audio and accelerometers to make a well coordinated story line. #QuikStories is the hashtag to check out already created content.

The other beautiful thing that comes out is FUSION. It captures immersive 360° videos in 5.2K to play back as VR. As the saying goes FUSION - Relive Reality. This will bring us a step closer to reality in VR. Experiencing adventures in VR is a whole new feel and closeness one can get.

The launch of Fusion should make some amazing 360° videos that upload to Social media (Like Facebook, Youtube and others) an amazing experience as most current cameras on the market just capture HD or around that. The epic live action trailer in itself is great as we get to see some amazing footages (Middle Earth Universe) but to drop an interactive trailer so as we get the message of where the story is moving towards, is downright genius. Down below is the Teaser for the Shadow of War, Friend or Foe.

The live action trailer really sets the mood with the settings of Mordor and that too in the middle of the battlefield and leading a fight between the humans and the orcs. Released on 18/09/2017

This time the setting of the fight is with human leading an army of orcs (army of Orcs amass under the rule of man) against the orcs that are invading Mordor.

The interactive part of the trailer is the choices that one makes; as nothing will be forgotten. One needs to go through the choices in the trailer to know what choices will be available during the game. We get the choice of choosing our Nemesis.

Playing Hitman in Live Action

The popular stealth video game series developed by IO Interactive widely available across Microsoft Windows and others platforms. The 17 years history with 6 releases on Windows and also 2 releases over mobile application and also adaptations into two movie releases. The musical score of the games are composed by Jesper Kyd which features a mix of Orchestral and Electronica musical scores. Now comes the Live Action version of the game, when a set of Youtubers were given control of Agent 47 to play a particular mission. Realm Pictures, the ones responsible for creating the 'real life first person shooter' video which went viral was roped in by IO interactive to create a similar but broader & bigger experience. Volvo Trucks at it again - The Flying Passenger

Volvo Trucks show its latest technology in the most impressive way.

Volvo trucks show off their Volvo FH truck's technology by demonstrating the performance of D13 engine and I-shift Dual Clutch Gearbox. The whole Live Test was set up and fully supervised with precision stunts. The professional Para-glider, Guillaume Galvani and the 12 year veteran Volvo truck driver, Louise Marriott pulled off this live test.

The Volvo Trucks team has been teasing us with their teasers and trailer for the last 6 days.

The impressive thing about Volvo Trucks live tests are that they do get the point across about the performance and the latest technology being used in the field of transportation. We get to see how the trucks function in different circumstances and what one is getting into.

It is amazing to see a Para-glider (professional) gliding using the back of a Volvo Truck and enjoying a joy ride all the way uphill even under a bridge (all performed under strict supervision - so don't try this as extreme sports). I am sure the experience by the driver was a new one (also a memorable one) as one does keep the truck load in mind but definitely not a flying passenger that too behind the truck.

During one of the previous Live Tests by Volvo Trucks, 'The Epic Split' and others; one of the kids watching the JCVD's The Epic Split stated that the advertisement is great as it wants me to purchase not one but two Volvo trucks to perform the Epic Split. (That was definitely hilarious as a different perspective was put forth).

GoPro has been bringing their A game in portable high definition cameras. Their latest upgrades have not been disappointing. Examples: Waterproofing for certain depth which helps a lot during surfing, kayaking, swimming, jet-skiing and others. Another amazing feature of their Hero5 is the LCD which was missing previously due to their compact size and power backup. They have maintained their quality and upped their game in the video features also. The latest addition to the GoPro is Karma - flying drone with stabilizer. Fruit Ninja in Real life is back
